design/build by JRC
This cabin serves as an art studio/guesthouse for the Madrona House. The client desired a space that could fit her weaving loom and materials, and also accommodate an occasional guest. The unique roof design was inspired by the needle pattern of the surrounding conifers, and the center beam holding up the roof is a fir tree that was cut and milled on the site, left rough-hewn in homage to the rustic, mountain setting.
